Dr. Ingrid Wicker McCree Legacy Endowment

A role of a leader is to inspire and motivate those around them. As an Athletics Director and Coach, few individuals have done this better than Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree. For 28 years, Ingrid has been more than just a leader for North Carolina Central University Athletics. She has been a friend, mother, mentor, and advocate for so many of us. From the countless student-athletes that she championed on the field of play and in the classroom to all the coaches and athletics administrators that she helped start and propel their careers, her door has always been open to all of us and she has always made time to assist when asked.

As her time comes to a close, she deserves to have her legacy stand firm within the walls of McDougald-McLendon Arena and the campus of NCCU forever. A symbolic way to accomplish such a momentous tribute is to establish an endowment that will always support the initiatives that she believes in the most.
